The Oceanogràfic Foundation was established in 2016 to provide new knowledge, inform, and raise awareness among society in order to improve the conservation of species and their natural habitat.

To this end, the Foundation is based on three independent pillars, but with a cross-cutting operation: Research, Conservation, and Outreach-Education.

Through these pillars, scientific and conservation activities are developed, as well as outreach programs to society, allowing the union of forces between the academic and social world in favor of nature protection.

We work to ensure the well-being of all marine and aquatic animals, promoting their protection and fostering respect for biodiversity.
We promote ocean sustainability through synergies with various stakeholders to preserve the ecosystem for future generations.
We collaborate with organizations, institutions, governments, and the scientific community to drive joint projects that promote the protection of ecosystems.
We inspire society to learn about the seas and oceans, love them, and protect them.
