Activity with students from CEIP Miguel de Cervantes

Scientific ringing is a method of studying bird populations that involves identifying individual specimens by placing a metal ring with a unique inscription on their leg. This allows us to study numerous aspects of their biology that are not possible to learn through other study methods.

This method answers questions such as how many years they live, how much they weigh, what differences there are between males and females, migration phenology, climate change, and variations in population sizes between regions.
