Valencia, July 29, 2017
The Oceanogràfic of Valencia has opened its doors today to Valencian teachers to present the new program for the next school year 2017-2018.
During today’s session, the teachers toured the work areas on a guided visit and were able to learn firsthand about all the species that inhabit the Oceanogràfic, with the aim of improving and reinforcing the knowledge of their students.
The teachers were able to visit the aquarium’s technical area, where they witnessed how sharks are fed, and the quarantine area, where species remain in recovery and new acquisition.
Among the novelties planned by the Oceanogràfic for the following year is the activity of “Sleeping in the coral reef” which, together with “Sleeping with sharks”, helps the little ones to learn and know in depth the life in the oceans.
Another of the new activities presented is “3, 2, 1 immersion”, a guided tour of all the aquariums for 3 hours that also includes attendance at the dolphinarium exhibition.
In addition, students will be able to attend the new jellyfish exhibition, which helps to raise awareness on matters related to the ocean and the preservation of the environment.
To complete the school offer, the option of a picnic area will be offered under prior reservation.
As in the previous year, all workshops will be taught in English, French or German, depending on the demand of each school.
