Training Session on Marine Litter

The teachers and students of IES Patacona will participate in a training day on marine litter organized by the Oceanogràfic Foundation. The education team will explain how to carry out a beach clean-up following the appropriate protocol, how to distinguish between marine debris and a biological trace, and the effects of litter on the ecosystem. The activity responds to the center’s request for pedagogical support to develop an innovative project in its professional training of hairdressing and artistic wardrobe, which will culminate in a fashion show with materials collected in a future beach clean-up. In addition, the center has been encouraged to register for the European Blue Schools program, which promotes ocean education and sustainability in schools.
