Coinciding with World Environment Day, there will be a release of marine turtle hatchlings born last summer. The event will be attended by the general management of the Oceanogràfic Foundation, representatives of the Valencia City Council, and the company AGRADO.

This release is part of the Oceanogràfic Foundation’s Head Starting program, which aims to increase the survival rate of hatchlings born on our coasts by raising them in controlled conditions during the first months of life, before they are returned to the sea.

World Environment Day is the United Nations’ primary event for promoting global awareness and action in favor of the environment. Each year revolves around a specific theme and seeks to mobilize governments, organizations, and citizens to address challenges such as climate change, biodiversity loss, and pollution. It is a key opportunity to reflect on our impact on the planet.
