Release of Newborn Turtles

In collaboration with the Elche City Council and various local and regional institutions, we will hold a day dedicated to the release of newborn turtles born in the summer of 2024 on the municipality’s coast. The action is part of the Head Starting project, a conservation program that involves raising turtles in the ARCA del Mar facilities until they reach a size that increases their chances of survival in the wild. This activity combines science, conservation, and public awareness, showcasing the work being done to protect this emblematic species and promoting the involvement of society in the defense of marine biodiversity.
