JOURNALISTS FROM TOULOUSE VISIT THE OCEANOGRÀFIC
A group of three journalists from Toulouse (France) visited the Oceanogràfic in Valencia last Friday to enhance their knowledge and learn in depth about all the species that inhabit the ocean.
During the guided tour, the journalists visited the aquarium’s most important areas, such as the “ARCA del Mar” (Sea Ark), one of the areas to which they dedicated the most time, where they were able to see the facility designed for the reception and recovery of sea turtles. At this center, the group witnessed the rehabilitation of species that appear injured on the Valencian coast.
In addition, they visited the Arctic area, where they met Kylu, the only beluga calf in Europe. The Oceanogràfic professionals explained to the journalists the daily learning of the baby beluga and the different lines of study that are carried out in the aquarium, to verify that its evolution is favorable and obtain new data from a species that is very little known.
The visit concluded in the shark tunnel, one of the most spectacular emblematic places of the Oceanogràfic.
