Beach Cleanup and Release of a Sea Turtle

The responsible diving association Trotafons is organizing a beach cleanup with the collaboration of the Oceanogràfic Foundation. During the day, a sea turtle recovered at the ARCA del Mar will also be released into the sea, a symbol of the shared effort to protect our biodiversity.

This activity highlights the importance of collaboration with citizen associations committed to the environment, as their involvement is key to spreading good environmental practices. In addition, beach cleanups not only contribute to improving the natural environment directly, but also allow for a scientific analysis of the marine debris collected, helping us understand what types of waste predominate and to reflect on possible solutions to curb their impact on ecosystems.
