We coordinate the European Network of Blue Schools in the Valencian Community

Our educational projects are designed to inspire and train future generations in the protection of the marine environment. Through a practical and rigorous approach, we offer educational centers a wide variety of programs ranging from early childhood education to secondary and high school education.

The projects aim to transmit knowledge, raise awareness, and educate students about current environmental challenges.

As part of our commitment to biodiversity, the Oceanogràfic of Valencia coordinates the European Network of Blue Schools in the Valencian Community. This initiative, supported by the European Commission through the EU4Ocean coalition, seeks to promote ocean literacy among new generations and put the ocean at the center of learning in schools.

Blue Center Recognition 2024

We have received the Blue Center 2024 distinction, a prestigious recognition awarded by the ADEAC-FEE (Environmental Education Foundation).

This award, equivalent to the Blue Flag award given to beaches, ports, and boats, recognizes entities committed to environmental education and sustainable tourism and supports the Foundation’s constant work in raising awareness and sensitizing society about the protection of coastal ecosystems and sustainable development.

Being recognized as a Blue Center also requires the entity to be located in a municipality with Blue Flags, as is the case of Valencia, which in 2024 has received seven awards on its beaches.

The Blue Center recognition has an international projection and reinforces the mission of the Oceanogràfic Foundation and the Oceanogràfic to promote sustainability and care for the environment, aligning with the Sustainable Development Goals.
