Ghost Net Screening

The project “Ghost Nets. Mission Eurydice” seeks to remove the nets that are destroying part of the marine life in the Gulf of Cefalù (Sicily). In the Mediterranean, ghost nets cover increasingly large areas of walls and bottoms of rocks, causing a gradual destruction of all forms of life, especially corals and fish. Once removed from the seabed, it is important to study the biodiversity and waste that remain trapped in them.
