Ghost Net Screening

Ghost nets are covering increasingly large areas of rock walls and seabeds, causing gradual destruction of all forms of life, especially corals and fish. Once removed from the seabed, it is important to study the biodiversity and waste trapped within them. For this characterization, we have the help of volunteers from the Oceanogràfic Foundation who, guided by Andrea Spinelli, will learn the essential screening system for data collection.
